Amazon defines a bestseller as the Top 100 Books sold in their categories during a ninety-minute period. It is possible to be a bestseller in multiple categories, multiple times a week.

Amazon has over 4,000 categories for physical books, preorders, and eBooks. Each category has thousands and thousands of books to compete with. So, how can I guarantee bestseller status in some of my packages with this kind of competition?

First, my marketing team researches your Amazon categories extensively before publication. Amazon has more than 1.42 million books published on KDP. In order to allow books to have a fighting chance at bestseller status, Amazon has created categories for different kinds of books. That way, you’re only competing with people in your category instead of the masses to become a bestseller. My marketing team spends hours researching potential categories, meticulously looking to assign my books in low competition categories. If Amazon allows your book to be assigned to a low competition category, then you’re suddenly competing with five thousand titles instead of forty thousand every ninety-minute period.

We couple that strategy along with sending thousands of proposals to libraries and bookstores two weeks before your publication date. Bookstores normally agree to buy books in bulk and buy on the date of publication, when the title becomes available. This allows your book to sell several copies in one ninety-minute period.

We also set up a preorder link to your book so people can purchase your book at a discounted rate before it releases. Preorders only compete with other preorders, so this lessens the competition as well. We couple this strategy by advertising the preorder link in my newsletter and on your socials during the same ninety-minute period.

My first book became a bestseller when it sold two copies with a preorder link in the same ninety-minute period. If you’re in the right categories and using the right strategies, then becoming an Amazon bestselling author doesn’t have to be highly competitive.

Again, packages with a bestseller status guarantee require a preliminary interview. Not every book idea can be a bestseller on Amazon.

Fuck That and Forgive

Two best friends drive through the night to beat a snowstorm. One falls asleep in the back of the car. The other falls asleep at the wheel. The driver walks away practically unscathed. The passenger never walks again. And they are best friends to this day.

Beauty

The church has sold us plenty of lies concerning women, their worth, and how it ties to their outward appearance. It's time to break free of these false narratives and step into God's original design for your life.

Turtle Soup is Enough

You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. This memoir plumbs the depths of faith and suffering, wrestling with the age-old question: if your faith in God is relational, how can you reconcile that relationship when it feels like God stands by as your whole world falls apart?
